Beautifully expressed, thank you. I admire teachers of K-12 grades, something I could never have the patience to do. The pressures of university are enough. So much of my life has been finding that balance of work and living. Not sure I’m there yet, but I have managed to build a good life. I hope that you have more joy and less struggle.
I know very well that difficulty of balancing work and home. Too often I was so obsessed with work (this includes grad school—see I wanted to be a college professor then a community college instructor and settled for high school teacher) that marriage and family family deeply suffered.
